CPA has over 50 camp offerings in the areas of athletics, arts, and discovery! All Summer at CPA camps are open to the Nashville community. Learn more about each camp below. Pricing

  • See descriptions below for individual camp prices. All grade levels are based on rising grades for 2019-20. 
  • In the unlikely event that CPA cancels a camp, for any reason, registrants will receive a full refund and advance notice. There are no refunds after May 1 (with the exception of a cancelled camp). In the unusual case where refunds are appropriate, there is a $25 processing fee. 
  • Before Care is available from June 3-July 26 from 8-9 a.m. at $40 per week per camper.

Athletics Camps

July 15-19: Girls NIKE Basketball Camp

  • Session: July 15 – 19 (9 – 3 p.m.)
  • Grades: rising 3rd – 9th

NIKE Basketball Camp will focus on individual skill development with our morning skill stations and afternoon 3-on-3 Cut Throat League. Each camper will also play in one 5-on-5 game and participate in our Living by Numbers contests each day. This summer camp is the perfect way to prepare for your school, church, rec or AAU season. All NIKE basketball camps maintain a player to coach ratio of 8:1 and are staffed by high school and collegiate coaches as well as college players.

July 15-18: Boys Football Camp (Contact)

  • Session: July 15 – 18 (Monday – Thursday), 6-8 p.m. 
  • Grades: rising 4th-8th
  • Instructor: Ingle Martin, Head Varsity Football Coach
  • Cost: $200

Each camper will work with our Varsity Position Coaches on how to properly run, block, and tackle. Campers will have an opportunity to learn about every position on the field, as well as focus on the position they intend to play in the future. We ultimately have two goals for our football camp: Learn how to play safely and have fun!

CPA Girls Volleyball Camp will introduce fundamentals to younger athletes as well as strengthen volleyball skills for more advanced athletes. We encourage anyone who would like to learn the proper fundamental skills to attend. Your student athlete will walk away from camp knowing key skills that will form a basis for future improvement. We will spend time focusing on passing, serving, setting and hitting. Emphasizing on repetition and confidence in each athlete’s skills as well as enjoyment of the sport.

 

Discovery Camps

July 8-12: Doll House Makerspace

  • Session: July 8 – 12, 9 – 12 PM
  • Grades: 4th – 6th
  • Instructor: Tara Stumpf, Lower School Visual Arts Instructor
  • Cost: Early Bird - $200; After May 31 - $225 ($25 supply fee)

Campers will be constructing their own doll houses with building codes. Students will also be sewing to create their own creature, animal or doll to live in their new house. 

July 8-12: Introduction to Debate

  • Session: July 8 - 12, 9 – 12 PM
  • Grades: 7th – 10th
  • Instructor: Ben Crist, Latin Instructor
  • Cost: Early Bird - $175; After May 31 - $200

Debate trains student in logic, ethics, use of evidence, and persuasion. Intro to Debate exposes students to the terminology, structure, and technique of various debate forms while providing specific instruction in a modified form of Congressional Debate that is used in local, state, and national competitions. The week will culminate in a formally judged round.

 

July 15-19: Brentwood Driver Education (CPA Campus)

  • Session: July 15– 19, Monday – Thursday 8:30 – 4 PM and Friday 2:30 PM dismissal.
  • Grades: rising 10th – 12th
  • Cost: Early Bird - $425; After May 31 - $450


This course consists of 30 hours of classroom training and 6 hours behind-the-wheel training. Instruction will be held on the Christ Presbyterian Academy campus for five days from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (2:30 dismissal on Friday). The behind-the-wheel training is completed in three 2 hour sessions. Most driving lessons will be done from class, with some lessons possibly scheduled after class or on Saturdays. 

Driving lessons

  • You may test with us for your license, based on eligibility
  • This course may be good for an insurance reduction
  • Students must know their social security number to complete paperwork when testing for a license
  • Two hours of behind-the-wheel training will be done on a simulator to learn driving in bad weather, emergencies, etc.
  • Please bring a blue ink pen and non-spiral bound notebook 

 

License Testing Information

  • When you take our 30 hour classroom course you can be exempt from taking the license test at the Driver Testing Station.
  • If you under the age of 18 and have held a learner's permit for at least 180 days or are over the age of 18 and have a learner's permit, you may test for your Driver's License with us.
  • You must take your Learners Permit in addition to the DTTP Road Skills Driving Test Certification you receive from us when you go to the Driver Testing Station to pick up your Driver’s License.

The Drivers Education Certificate of Completion, received upon completion of the course, is used for insurance discounts and should not be taken to the Drivers Testing Station. Please check with your insurance company for specifics regarding discounts.

 

We do not guarantee a license just by attending our course. You must also successfully pass the test we give for license. 

 

July 15-19: Adventure Day Camp

  • Session: July 15 - 19, Monday-Friday, 9 – 3 PM
  • Grades: rising 5th – 8th
  • Instructors: Beth Sheridan
  • Cost: Early Bird - $250; After May 31 - $275 ($25 activity fee)

Adventure Day Camp will explore fitness in a whole new light through different, fun adventures including hiking, kayaking, ropes courses, rock climbing and fishing. Each day we will play games that incorporate cardio and strength training. We will also focus on the development of life skills so our campers are challenged physically and mentally.

July 22-26: LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Competition

  • 9 – 3 PM (Full Day Session)
  • Session: July 22 - 26
  • Grades: rising 5th – 8th
  • Instructor: Wesley Diggs CPA First LEGO League Instructor
  • Cost: Early Bird $250; after May 31 $275

This camp focuses on building robots that find another robot and push it out of a Sumo ring. Complex building and programming skills are applied to create a robot that can autonomously defeat its opponent.  This is a fun and challenging camp made for students who are ready to build and program.

July 22-26: Kindergarten Readiness Camp

  • Session: July 22nd – 26th (9 – 12 p.m.)
  • Grades: rising Kindergarten
  • Instructor: Kate Laws, CPA Kindergarten Instructor
  • Cost: Early Bird - $175; After May 31 - $200

This camp is a great opportunity to help your student transition from preschool to lower school. Students will have a true “big school” experience. It is a wonderful time for them to become comfortable in a kindergarten classroom and meet some other new lions!

 

July 22-26: Coding Camp

  • Session: July 22 – 26, 1 – 4 PM
  • Grades: rising 1st – 4th
  • Instructor: Ian Mullins-Zugelder, Instructor of LS STEAM Lab
  • Cost: Early Bird - $175; After May 31 - $200

This STEAM camp will sharpen critical thinking skills by introducing coding basics. Campers will use laptops, tablets, LEGOs and other tech to create animations, build and program robots, and more!

July 22-26: Summer Reading Book Club

  • Session: July 22 – 26, 1 – 4 PM
  • Grades: rising 4th, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. 
  • Grades: rising 5th, Monday-Friday, 1-4 p.m.
  • Instructor: Brenda Ferrell, LS Librarian
  • Cost: $200

This interactive club will dive deep into a book from the required summer reading list to discover setting, plot, rising action, conflict, and the resolution of the story. By the end of this camp, students will have the opportunity to work on a fun, interactive book report which will bring greater understanding to their summer assignment. The fourth grade book will be Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, and the fifth grade book will be The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street

Arts Camps

July 8-12: Clay/Printmaking Studio

  • Session: July 8 – 12 (1 – 4 p.m.)
  • Grades: rising 5th – 8th
  • Instructor: Tara Stumpf, LS Visual Arts Instructor

Students will use hand building techniques as we explore coil building in this camp. Students will also be study relief printmaking and creating their own block and print series throughout the week. 

 

July 15-19: Fairytale Ballet

  • Sessions: July 15 – 19, 9 – 12 PM
  • Grades: 3 years old - kindergarten (fully potty-trained)
  • Instructor: CPA Dance Instructor
  • Cost: Early Bird - $175; After May 31 - $200

Join us for an enchanted ballet experience this summer! Young dancers will explore beginner ballet technique and creative movement as they journey through beloved fairytales and songs that encourage love, courage, and kindness! Activities include fun dance games, crafts, and story time!

 

July 22-26: Preschool Art Adventure

  • Session: July 22-26, 9 – 12 PM
  • Age: 4 – 5 years old (potty-trained)
  • Instructor: Rachel Jones, Visual Arts Instructor
  • Cost: Early Bird - $175; After May 31 - $200 ($10 supply fee)

Campers will enter the colorful world of visual arts creation through distinct art projects in connection with the books and authors these students love.

July 22-26: Art in a Day

  • Session: July 22 – 26, 1 – 4 PM
  • Instructor: Rachel Jones, Visual Arts Instructor
  • Grades: rising K – 2nd
  • Early Bird - $175; After May 31 - $200 ($10 supply fee)

Campers will enter the colorful world of visual arts creation through distinct art projects in connection with the books and authors these students love.

 

July 22-26: Ballet Contemporary

  • Session: July 22 – 26, 9 – 12 PM
  • Grades: rising 5th – 8th
  • Instructor: Paige Sottek, MS Dance Company Director
  • Cost: Early Bird – $175; After May 31 - $200

This intensive is for any middle school student who is looking for refine technique, further development, or just kickstart your dance training in classical ballet and contemporary. Students will learn proper etiquette, work barre and center combinations, and perform a short combination in both styles.
