Parent Connect

Parent Connect is a parent-led organization offering all preschool-12 CPA parents ways to connect with the Academy and build relationships through service and involvement.

Opportunities include support for classroom, grade-level, and Academy-wide activities, prayer ministry, serving as ambassadors to prospective families, involvement in CPA Dads, arts, athletics, parent education, financial giving, and more more. Parent Connect impacts every aspect of school life.

Parent Connect Subcommittees

Preschool serves to build community among the preschool families CPA. Events like PS Tailgate, PS Art Show, and Thanksgiving lunch are the building blocks for families to begin their time at CPA and develop lifelong friendships.

Lower School

Lower school has many opportunities for volunteers to support the CPA community both in and out of the classroom. Room Parents, LS Tailgate, Mother-Son and Father-Daughter events name a few.

Middle and Upper School

Middle School and Upper School provide volunteers for athletic events and school sponsored events. While these are not directly in-classroom needs, the opportunities to build relationships with other CPA families are abundant.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry offers several opportunities to gather for fellowship and prayer. The Prayer Ministry leads grade-level prayer as well as school-wide campus prayer walks. The practice of covering our students, faculty, families, visitors and campus in prayer is a foundation of the Academy.

Faculty and Staff Appreciation

Faculty and Staff Appreciation serves the CPA community through showing appreciation for our faculty and staff. FSA provides lunches for in-services, snacks once a month, and special treats throughout the school year.

Parent Education

Parent Education serves as a resource for all CPA parents through parenting seminars, education talks, and sponsored educational events.

CPA Dads

CPA Dads is a fellowship of dads that seeks to inspire, inform, and involve all fathers of CPA students in the life and mission of CPA. Through sharing exciting developments, or facing common challenges, the CPA Dads community acts as a support network for and proponent of Christ-centered fatherhood.

Arts supports the work of arts education through volunteer opportunities. These opportunities include being an organizer, communicator, painter, seamstress, or builder. Each contribution makes a visible difference in the experiences of all of our families as they participate or attend events and performances. Parent Connect Arts offers parents a way to connect with their students' interests and their own.

Annual Fund

Annual Fund supports the Office of Development and Alumni. Volunteers are a resource for CPA families and encourage giving to the annual fund.

Prayer Ministry

The CPA Prayer Ministry is a committee of Parent Connect that offers several opportunities to gather for fellowship and prayer. The practice of covering our students, faculty, families, visitors and campus in fervent, Christ-centered prayer has been a foundation of the Academy since before the doors first opened in 1985.

If you wish to be added to a monthly email reminder of prayer times and locations, or for questions or specific prayer needs, please contact either of the Parent Connect Prayer Ministry Co-Chairs: Kelli and Jason Shipman
