CPA inducts 80 students into National Honor Society
CPA celebrates 80 high school students for their induction into the National Honor Society. NHS was established in 1921 to recognize outstanding high school students.
The CPA chapter of NHS is open to juniors and seniors who have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and have completed (or are currently enrolled in) at least one Honors-or-AP-level course. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to further develop through active involvement in school activities and community service.
High School Principal Dr. Parker Altman spoke at the ceremony, charging the inductees with the following:
"Tonight, you have received a great honor with your induction into NHS, which recognizes your excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. This has a great value to you on things like college applications, but it carries an even greater weight of responsibility for you. As it says in 1 Peter 4:10, 'As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.'"
