Students in grades PreK5-12 gathered for the traditional Passing of the Scrolls assembly Friday morning in the Sanctuary.
Several years ago Head of School Nate Morrow began this tradition as a way to unify the campus, speak leadership skills into the senior class, and inspire our youngest classes. Seniors, the Class of 2019, handed alma mater scrolls to kindergartners, the Class of 2031, and the two classes shared a prayer on stage. Vision then led the student body in singing the alma mater (written by CPA Dad Steven Curtis Chapman) Soli Deo Gloria.
"Seniors, these students are wathcing you. They look up to you and how you act. Lead them by example and love them as you have walked in their shoes," said Morrow.
A beautiful picture of a student's journey through life at CPA, this assembly is shared with parents and members of the Academy community.
