  • Let’s Begin With Why

Drew Maddux, Associate Head of School, Advancement, CPA
    Wednesday, June 20
    10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

An exciting opportunity for educators and professionals looking to grow their personal leadership development, this workshop will focus on our individual strengths, and ways those strengths can be leveraged for the good of those we serve. We will do self-evaluation work in looking at personal mission statements, the“why” behind and under everything we do, the vision that God has instilled in us, and how that connects externally in our given environments.

We will facilitate this discussion in a dynamic environment that will include the use of media, leadership study, and group-think work, as we explore ways to be the best possible leader that God has called us to be.
  • From Weakness to Strength: 8 Vulnerabilities That Can Bring Out the Best in Your Leadership

Scott Sauls, Senior Pastor, Christ Presbyterian Church

In a world that puts chief value on fame and popularity, fortune and celebrity, strength and bravado, and external beauty, one often overlooked "strength" is the spiritual gift of meekness. Our discussion will center around how the meekness of Jesus, in particular, can transform how we live our lives and lead others. As the Psalms reminds us, the meekness of Jesus is the ultimate source of our strength.
