Dr. Scott Brown to speak at Perspectives Feb. 16

Perspectives: The Lunch Series will host family practitioner and bioethicist Dr. Scott Brown on Friday, February 16, at 12 p.m., in the Upper School Library. Lunch will be provided, and tickets are free of charge.
Dr. Scott Brown has practiced medicine in Ashland City, Tenn., for 21 years. His master's in bioethics has given him a unique specialization on the use of modern pharmaceuticals for health and well-being versus performance enhancement. The trend of performance-enhancing drug usage in high-pressure environments, whether academic, athletic, or professional, is on the rise.

This discussion will help parents discern when medication is necessary and healthful, and when it is uneccessary and harmful.
