CPA alumni returned to campus this week to host a college fair for the junior class. Recent graduates served as representatives for their colleges and offered students insight and advice on life after graduation.
Jordan Baker '15 returned from Rhodes College in Memphis to speak to students at a special Chapel preceding the event. He emphasized the importance of a firm foundation of faith upon entering adulthood, in college and beyond. Using the metaphor of broken cisterns from Jeremiah 2, Baker shared of his experience leaving his baseball career at Rhodes due to physical injury.
"Remember to puruse your faith and seek the Lord in all things, because nothing else can truly satisfy your core desires," Baker shared in Chapel.
The College Fair featured over 25 colleges, allowing juniors to reconnect with old classmates, hearing their experiences on studies, travel, career developments, and more.
"The Alumni College Fair is a highlight of our year. We love this event because it gives us a chance to see alumni we love, and it also gives our current juniors an opportunity to learn about the student experience at a wide range of universities from individuals who were once in their shoes," says College Counseling Coordinator Catherine Sawyer.
