Theatre students travel to Tennessee Thespian Conference

Theatre students will travel to Murfreesboro for the Tennessee State Thespian Conference at MTSU next week to convene with over 800 arts students from across the state at the biggest event of the year.
"At ThesCon our students have the opportunity to grow creatively and in community with one another," says CPA Artistic Director Paula Flautt.

In addition to attending numerous workshops at the conference, CPA students will also perform their fall, black-box production The Children's Story, a chilling fantasy or premonition about an innovative re-education program in a post-war 1950s American classroom.
Last year, the Academy had the distinct honor of performing the black box theatre production, Tracks, at the conference.
