Preschool celebrates Week of the Young Child

It was a special week at CPA Preschool - faculty, staff, and students participated in the National Association for the Education of Young Children's nationwide celebration: Week of the Young Child
The purpose of Week of the Young Child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. The organization also emphasizes the week as a time to plan how the national community can better meet the needs of all young children and their families.
With each day of the week themed, students dressed up, enjoyed fun activities, and experienced the true joys of early childhood. Starting off the week was "Superhero Day," a celebration with superheroes, face painting, balloon art, and silly string fights. Another highlight of the week was "Under the Sea," an aquatic-themed party complete with tropical treasure hunts, sand castles, and mermaids. Perhaps the most exciting day of the week was "Messy Day," featuring myriad activities for students where they enjoyed getting messy - mud pies, paint, rainbow soap suds, shaving cream, and a slip 'n slide.
"This is a time to celebrate the simple joys of childhood. Children experience discovery through imagination, and it’s amazing to see them light up in these fun, carefree celebrations,” says Preschool Principal Kelly Fuller.
The festivities provided unique bonding experiences for the preschool community and inspired the spirit of childhood across the Academy campus.
