Middle school students compete in state math competition
This week, CPA middle school students competed in the annual state math competition at Austin Peay State University.
The students competing from 7th and 8th grade were:

In 7th grade, Kaitlin Flemmons finished first for CPA and 17th overall, and Abigail Walker finished 19th overall. Both were in the top 20.
In 8th grade Jacob Meadors was the high-point finisher for CPA with 9th place overall. Luke Mayfield finished in 15th place overall. Both finished in the top 15.
"I am so proud of all of them. We competed against approximately 500 students from middle Tennessee. Having four students in the top 15 and 20, is the best performance CPA has ever shown," says Instructor of MS Math Julie Smothers
