Arts students attend state Thespian Conference at MTSU

Fine arts students recently traveled to Murfreesboro for the Tennessee State Thespian Conference at MTSU, to convene with over 800 arts students from across the state at the biggest event of the year.
At ThesCon, students have the opportunity to grow creatively and in community with one another.

Students saw The Matchmaker and Bonnie and Clyde, a magician, and three one-acts were mounted. Students also attended workshops with national clinicians doing such things as choreography, making chain mail costumes, designing sets, aerial flight, character make-up, boxing, and more.

"It was valuable that students got to connect in a group of 1,000 high school students from across the state," says Artistic Director Paula Flautt.
