Lower school playscape reopens

The lower school playscape has reopened for the school year after several renovations and improvements. A beautiful space for students to explore outside, the playscape has been an iconic addition to our campus since it was first reimagined in 2012.
The main area in the center of the playscape has been replaced with fresh sod. The outdoor classroom has been cleaned and is ready for classes to come enjoy. The raised beds have been planted with flowers and veggies for enjoyment and educational purposes. All organic products for the plants have been used. The water feature has been inspected and is now on a weekly maintenance schedule. The stonework in the garden has been repaired, and fresh gravel has been added throughout the space.
As a service project, sixth grade school students spent a morning weeding the area to prepare for the lower school students to enjoy the reopening! Lower school students are learning all about how to be good stewards of the playscape.

The Academy is excited for the space to be functional again. It truly reflects the beauty of the natural surroundings on campus.
