CPA announces 2018-19 Perspectives series speakers

The Academy is excited to announce speakers for the 2018-19 Perspectives series. Like last year, the series will include two evening speakers with a diverse panel of lunchtime speakers in the fall and spring semesters.
Headlining the series on Thursday, September 20, at 7 p.m., will be MLB All-Star Darryl Strawberry. Strawberry will be speaking on his testimony, a story of hope through addictions, abuse, divorces, cancer, and jail time. Click here to register for a free ticket. The Lunch Series - Tickets are free and open to the public. Registrants may order a boxed lunch for $5, or bring their own lunch. Sessions are Fridays at noon in the US Library. Click here to register for any of the lunch series sessions.

  • February 8 - Scott Brown, MD, MA - "Shots in the Dark? The Christian Response to the Vaccine Debate."  
  • March 8 - Jason R. Hubbard, MD, FAANS, FACS - “Should my Kids Play Sports? Everything You Want to Know About Concussions.”
  • April 5 - A.J. Heritage, PhD, Southeast Psych - “Building Better Social Skills for Your Child or Teen.”
