CPA After-school Programs offer year-round enrichment opportunities for students grades K-8. The After-school programs seek to introduce students to diverse experiences, help them develop new interests, meet new friends, and learn special skills. Whether learning a new art technique or building a robot, offerings create a vibrant scene of exploration!

  • Ballet/Tap

    Ballet/Tap
    Thursday/$275 (3 – 4:30 p.m.)
    3rd – 5th grades
    Instructor: Tricia Marion (Miss Tricia)
    Students will become proficient in fundamental dance posture, positions, movement and technique. Barre and center work, across-the-floor combinations, and choreography will expand strength, control, discipline confidence, and grace to excel in multiple dance genres. Dancers will also develop skills in tap through rhythm, expression and musicality. Students will perform in Dance Fest and parents are invited to the final session for an in class demonstration. (Dance attire: lavender leotards, light pink tights, ballet slippers and black tap shoes---no patent leather. Hair must be in a bun).
     
     
     
     
  • Creative Dramatics

    K – 2nd grades
    Instructor: Anna Lee McFadden
    Step into the world of imaginative play and acting exploration. Students will engage in voice, movement, characterization, and storytelling within the Fairy Tale World. Each week they will experience a different story from the actor’s perspective and bring it to life!
     
  • Escape Game

    Students will use teamwork, critical thinking and problem solving to collect clues, solve puzzles and overcome challenges in order to complete the objective at hand. Come and see if you have what it takes to escape!
  • Harry Potter Art Adventure

    Harry Potter Art Adventure
    Wednesday/$200 --$10 supply fee (3 – 4:30 p.m.)
    4th – 5th grades
    Instructor: Tara Stumpf
    Students will explore the magic within the arts of Harry Potter during this camp session. We will be making art that correlates with the stories of each book using different mediums. Muggles welcome.  
     
  • Intro to Ballet/Jazz

    Intro to Ballet/Jazz
    Tuesday/$275 (3 – 4:30 p.m.)
    1st – 3rd grades
    Instructor: Tricia Marion (Miss Tricia)
    Students will be introduced to skills and develop terminology, coordination, rhythm, balance and technique through barre and center floor work in ballet, as well as steps and style of Jazz. Parents are invited to the final class of each semester. (Dance attire: lavender leotards, light pink tights and ballet slippers. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or bun).
  • Intro to Musical Theatre

    Intro to Musical Theatre

    3rd – 5th grades
    Instructor: Anna Lee McFadden
    In this class, we will be singing, dancing and acting to make characters making come to life! This is the ultimate offering for any student wanting to learn Musical Theatre basics. We will be working on a selection of songs and scenes from some Broadway favorites to share at the end of the semester.
  • Jazz/Hip Hop

    4th – 5th grades

    Combining basic jazz technique with the upbeat urban dance moves of Hip Hop focus will be on proper dance technique with upper and lower body conditioning, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, patterns and combinations. Dancers will grow in flexibility, coordination, rhythm, confidence and self-expression. Fun, upbeat music and choreography will shape the work with developmentally appropriate lyrics/movements. On the final day there will be a Dance Observation where students will demonstrate their work from the semester. (Dance attire: lavender leotard, light tan tights, tan jazz shoes, black shorts or leggings and hair pulled back).
  • Keyboarding

    2nd – 5th grades
    Instructor: Ian Mullins – Zugelder 
    This camp will make you a keyboarding all-star! Learn to type faster and more accurately through a variety of exercises, games and challenges. Compete to beat your high score and challenge your friends. By the end of camp, you will become an MVP of WPM!
  • LEGO Robotics, Jr.

    LEGO Robotics, Jr.

    2nd – 5th grades
    Instructor: Ian Mullins – Zugelder
    IT’S ALIVE! Learn to build and program awesome robots using familiar building tools – LEGOs! Learn coding while developing critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication skills. Campers will complete a variety of guided and free-builds while working to complete problem-based solo and group challenges!
  • Little Dribblers

    Students will spend time working on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting. They will be introduced to these skills and how they apply to basketball and

  • Sewing Camp

    4th – 5th grades
    Instructor: Tara Stumpf
    Students will be exploring embroidery along with regular sewing in this camp as we make multiple projects. Students will also be developing their own fabric for some pieces using the art of Batik, a process of dying fabric.

  • Adventure Club

    Ever wanted to learn how to fly fish?  Come and learn how to set up a fly rod, knot tie, cast, and fish with your fly rod.  Have you ever played Bocce Ball or been rock climbing? This Adventure Club will rotate different experiences throughout the 12 weeks.

    Drama club is a troupe of actors and performers that are charged and ready to launch into the theatre world inside and outside the classroom! If you love theatre and want to perform in scenes with your friends—this is the place for you! We will be attending forensics competition in the fall at Father Ryan and have some top secret plans for the spring in preparation for a showcase at the end of the year. Get ready to create characters, expand the actor’s toolbox, and make friends with fellow performers.

    Art Club gives students the freedom to explore the art mediums of drawing, painting and sculpting in a personalized atmosphere. This is the perfect place to try some things beyond what is covered in class, connect with peers and enjoy the freedom to dream up some new ideas all on your own!
     
     

Camps at CPA

Summer at CPA offer more than 50 camps and workshops with options for preschool through 12th grade (ages 4-18) in the areas of athletics, discovery, and the arts.

All camps are open to the Nashville community!

K-5 After Care

CPA After Care is an opportunity for K-5 students to be in a fun, nurturing, and structured environment after school from 3:15 - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students will be served a snack and enjoy supervised playtime outside, followed by a quiet thirty-minute time for board games and/or homework. This program runs August through May.

There are 3 options:
5 days a week = $275
3 days a week = $225
2 days a week = $175
 
Families must register for the semester. No drop-in care is available. There is flexibility in choosing your days if you are registered for the 2 or 3 day program. Those may be different days each week according to your schedule.
