Dear CPA Family,
Each year, as we begin planning another season in the arts, I prayerfully consider a theme that can hold together the wide range of experiences we share across our campus—musicals, plays, concerts, art exhibitions, dance performances, film premiers and so much more—and give deeper meaning to the creative work unfolding in our community.
This year, I kept returning to a simple but profound truth reflected across our productions: light has a way of breaking into even the most broken places.
From the unexpected friendship at the heart of How to Train Your Dragon JR., to the quiet, costly and unthinkable courage of Irena’s Vow, to the joyful restoration of connection in Hello, Dolly!, each story reveals what can happen when individuals step into darkness not with fear, but with presence, courage, and love.
In Scripture, light is never merely decorative or symbolic. It is active, revealing, healing, and life-giving. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5). As followers of Christ, we know this is not just a poetic truth, but a lived reality, because we know who and what that light is. God continues to move into the places of fear, isolation, and brokenness—and He does so through people willing to carry His light.
Our hope this year is not simply that students will participate in excellent artistic experiences, but that they will begin to recognize how their creativity can reflect something far greater than themselves. Every rehearsal, every brushstroke, every film edit, every performance, and every moment of collaboration becomes an opportunity to reflect the light of Christ into the world around us.
We invite you into this season with us. One shaped by courage, creativity, and the quiet but powerful conviction that His light is still breaking in, and it is not finished yet.

Middle School Musical: How To Train Your Dragon JR.
CPA will be one of the first schools in the country to bring fire-breathing action, epic adventure and big laughs to this brand new stage adaption of the DreamWorks Animation hit! Join the unlikely duo of Hiccup and Toothless as they fight against the odds to save both their worlds!

CPA’s got talent! Join us for our annual CPA Upper School, student-directed variety show where you never know what to expect! Comedians, singers, songwriters, dancers, bands, acrobats (it could happen), and of course… COFFEE!

Upper School Play: Irena’s Vow
Based on an astonishing true story, Irena’s Vow follows 19-year-old Irena Gut Opdyke, a young Polish housekeeper who courageously hid twelve Jewish refugees during the Holocaust beneath the home of a high-ranking Nazi officer. As danger closes in from every side, Irena must rely on her faith, wit and courage to protect those entrusted to her care. *Recommended for ages 14 and up.

CPA Christmas Joy
Join us for our second annual combination of all CPA vocal and instrumental ensembles 7th-12th grade for an unforgettable evening of Christmas music in the CPC sanctuary! Expect everything from sacred to secular to worshipful as we celebrate the season and the birth of our savior!

Upper School Musical: Hello, Dolly!
One of the most beloved musicals of all time, Hello, Dolly! bursts with humor, romance, energetic dance numbers and some of the greatest songs in musical theatre history. The romantic and comic exploits of Dolly Gallagher Levi, turn-of-the-century matchmaker and “woman who arranges things,” are certain to thrill and entertain the whole family!

Roll out the red carpet and cue the searchlights! Join our amazing CPA Upper School filmmakers as they premiere never before seen music videos, scripted shorts, documentaries and more on the big screen! (Rumor has it there will be free popcorn. Hush hush.)

Join us as our lower, middle and upper school dance companies celebrate the goodness of God through an inspiring evening of extraordinary and original dance pieces! Our dancers will perform jazz, hiphop, ballet, modern, tap, musical theatre and more on the gorgeous Soli Deo Center stage!
