"Sometimes people leave you halfway through the wood. Do not let it grieve you. No one leaves for good. No one is alone."
Into the Woods

MS Musical: James and the Giant Peach JR.
Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories about courage and self discovery, this wildly tuneful musical from the creators of The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen is sure to have you singing long after you leave the theater!

US Play: Our Town
Heralded by Edward Albee as “the finest American play ever written”, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize winning masterpiece about the preciousness of life, love, marriage and death remains as poignant today as it was in 1938.

MS Christmas Joy
Glory to the new-born King! Join our MS Choirs and Band for an unforgettable night of Christmas music, magic, and joy!

US Coffeehouse
CPA’s got talent! Join us for our annual CPA Upper School, student-directed variety show where you never know what to expect! Comedians, singers, songwriters, dancers, bands, acrobats (it could happen), and of course… COFFEE!

Dance Showcase: autHEntic
What does it mean to live authentically? By losing ourselves in Christ and living how He designed us to be, we find our true autHEntic selves. Join the CPA Lower, Middle, and Upper School Dance Companies for an unforgettable evening of original and inspiring dance pieces.

US One Acts
Come experience the intimacy of the Soli Deo Center Black Box Theater as our Theatre I, II & III students share a double feature of one act plays that are sure to challenge and entertain.

US Media Arts Film Night
Roll out the red carpet and cue the searchlights! Join our amazing CPA Upper School filmmakers as they premiere never before seen music videos, scripted shorts, documentaries and more on the big screen!

MS Play: Superheroes
The Hulk has to do taxes, a crime-fighting sidekick joins a support group, and Batman goes stir-crazy without enough criminals to take down. This funny, fast-paced play explores how the caped crusaders deal with life in street clothes.

US Musical: Into the Woods
Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and more converge in Stephen Sondheim’s fairytale mashup masterpiece about life, love, loss and what happens before and after “happily ever after”.

US Art Show
Ponder, peruse, contemplate, and let the stunning work from our advanced visual art students in the CPA Upper School speak to you as we transform the Soli Deo Center into a visual art gallery and feast for the eyes!

US Music Showcase
Are you ready to rock?! Join the CPA Band and Upper School Choirs as they fuse jazz, pop, rock, contemporary and classical styles to blow the roof off the Soli Deo Center (figuratively speaking, of course) in an unforgettable night of live music!

A Note from the Artistic Director

Dear CPA Arts Family,

We are so excited about our 2023-24 Arts Season: A Season of Growth and Transformation! Whether it's fantastical musicals, joyous holiday celebrations, gorgeous art galleries, stunning films, rockin' concerts, poignant plays, jaw dropping dance pieces or an evening of all of the above, we’ve got something for everyone!

The entire CPA educational philosophy is based on providing essential atmospheric conditions for student growth and transformation. This includes establishing solid roots (people, God, knowledge, reality, ethics) that lay the foundation for growth (intimacy, curriculum, expertise, programming, discipleship) that eventually produces fruit (walking with Christ, living in community, contributing to the world).

Throughout scripture, Jesus taught and grew disciplines through the art of storytelling. We were created and designed to learn through story. What better way to grow our students toward Gospel transformation than through the studying, learning, creating and sharing of their own stories and other people’s stories?

"For there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its shoots will not cease. Though its root grow old in the earth, and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put out branches like a young plant.." Job 14: 7-9

Come grow with us,

Jake Speck
