Eighth grade students taking the new middle school Entrepreneurship (TICE) course had the fortunate experience of hearing from local business leader Matt Frauenshuh. Matt is a passionate, faith-based leader, entrepreneur and CEO of Fourteen Foods and Principal of Frauenshuh, Inc. 

Fourteen Foods is a multi-unit owner and operator of 240+ DQ Grill & Chill® restaurants and Dairy Queen Braziers in Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The mission of Fourteen Foods is “Changing Lives, One Smile and a Story at a Time.” The popular food chain provides an escape from the ordinary, with a place to enjoy life’s every-day celebrations. Matt shared the history of the company and the Biblical tenants on which they were founded. He explained to the students the basic concepts of franchising, and the operational management of such a wide-reaching brand. He encouraged those more inclined to entrepreneurship to be bold, and face risk with wisdom, courage,  and being fully aligned with your values. The presentation was a treat for eighth grade students, on top of the delicious DQ Dilly bars he brought for the students!
