CPA Leadership Welcomes Chief of Staff and General Counsel Angie Sanders

CPA Leadership is pleased to announce the addition of Angie Sanders to the executive team as Chief of Staff and General Counsel, a new role that will be instrumental in ensuring the success of CPA’s strategic plan, driving organizational strategy and accountability, and working across teams to solve problems and effect positive change in support of Academy priorities. Angie is a CPA parent to Jack (LS) and Webb (PS), and has served on the Board of Trustees for the past two years. Angie has over 13 years of experience navigating the intersection of law and education policy in Tennessee, most recently  serving as General Counsel on the Tennessee State Board of Education where she served as a key member of the Board’s leadership team and advised State Board staff and Board members on a variety of legal issues relating to K-12 education law, compliance, and ethics.

Angie's legal expertise paired with her multi-tiered management acumen will contribute to the ongoing refinement of Academy policy, institutional systems, and leadership improvement.

"I am thrilled to step into the role of Chief of Staff and General Counsel. Having served as a member of the Board of Trustees and as a parent, I have seen first-hand the exceptional work coming from our school leaders. This community is truly special and I look forward to rolling up my sleeves alongside our leadership team to ensure CPA is able to achieve its important mission,” says Angie.

The Academy is honored to work with Angie in this capacity, and we look forward to the ways her professional skill set and her dedication to the CPA mission will support our ongoing commitment to institutional excellence. Please join us in welcoming Angie to CPA.
