Christ Presbyterian Academy
CPA commencement celebrates Class of 2020's resilience and achievements

CPA's Commencement ceremony was unlike any graduation the Academy has ever seen: uniquely intimate, sincere, and celebratory. With attendees limited to parents, spaced 6 feet apart, and seniors spaced apart seated with their parents, there was a sense of community and solidarity in the room.

Opening remarks from Head of School Nate Morrow and Head of Upper School Dr. Parker Altman praised the class for unity in the chaos of a pandemic, excellence in the last semester of remote learning, and solidarity in the experiences lost from it all. The ceremony also featured addresses from the valedictorian Lily Hubbard, salutatorian Alison Korn, and senior class president Mallory Jones.

Three major awards went to students exhibiting excellence in all areas of school life: the Soli Deo Gloria award went to Josh Roper, the Servant Leadership Award went to Nickolas Funk, and the Distinguished Senior Award went to Carrington Washburn.

Presentation of Diplomas, a special performance from members of vocal group Vision and the band, and the alma mater finished off the night.

Congratulations, CPA Class of 2020!
