Recently, middle school students explored the college admissions process during CPA Middle School College Week. Each grade participated in an individualized session led by the Office of College Counseling. Exercises were designed to expand students' knowledge about the college application and admissions process, giving them insight into the upper school student journey to college. Sixth graders competed in a college-themed advisory event, seventh graders participated in a quiz bowl competition, and eighth graders attended a panel discussion hosted by senior students.
Composed of eight seniors, the panel students shared their experiences in the application process, selecting a major, and more. Additionally, each senior answered a question surrounding their unique college selection journey. Each senior offered an educational perspective on the college application process, giving middle school students a variety of insights and inspiration.
Senior students also shared their favorite club, program, class, or extracurricular activities in the Upper School. Intentional advice from students who were in their seats not too long ago was extremely special and impactful as these eighth grade students prepare to embark on a new journey in the Upper School.
