To culminate their study of the harvest, first graders participated in a “Hallelujah Hoedown” on Friday, Oct. 28. Parents were invited to come and watch their students as they square-danced and sang songs during the hoedown. The students spent the entire week learning about the season of fall and what farmers do during the harvest. In addition, the students learned how scarecrows were used and then made their own.
