CPA Preschool

Thank you for your interest in CPA Preschool.

Formerly known as Kidconnection, CPA Preschool is now a part of the Academy, making CPA a Preschool through 12th-grade Academy. The 2011-12 school year runs from September through the end of May.

Purpose

The purpose of the CPA Preschool is to offer a loving and safe environment for children through five (5) years. It is the preschool’s goal to provide an atmosphere that affirms each child’s worth by honoring the reality that each child is created in the image of God. As the child grows, he or she will be stimulated by developmentally appropriate learning and play experiences that facilitate growth, physically, mentally and socially. The children will be guided in their understanding that our God is indeed their God--the God of the Bible who is all-knowing and knowable through His son, Jesus Christ.

Philosophy

God has directed parents to talk to their children throughout the day, diligently teaching them about who He is, what He has created, and what He commands (Deuteronomy 6:7). Throughout each day, CPA Preschool seeks to continue this instruction begun at home. The goal is to guide the children in understanding that they have been uniquely designed by the Creator of the universe and that they have the privilege of bringing glory to God and enjoying Him each day. (Catechism Questions and Answers 1-3: Q: Who made you? A: God Q: What else did God make? A: God made all things. Q: Why did God make you and all things? A: For His own glory and to enjoy Him forever.)

The preschool years are of great importance in the life of a young child. These are the years when language is mastered, independence is growing, and first friendships are made. It is time when changes are quickly taking place in physical skills and cognitive-thinking abilities. During this time, children learn best through exploration and hands-on materials. CPA Preschool seeks to provide an abundance of classroom experiences that foster this readiness to learn and promote social, emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual growth that is appropriate to each child’s developmental stage.

A child’s work is his play! Each day is full of the joy of learning, loving and living together to the glory of the One who made us.
