In addition to offering a strong core program of language arts, reading, math, science, and social studies, the elementary academic program is enriched with art, music, language, and technology. Learning at the elementary level encourages the development of thinking skills, effective work habits and creativity.
Elementary teachers and staff are dedicated professionals who apply their extensive knowledge of learning and child development to implement CPA’s academic program. Classroom teachers engage daily in large-group, small-group and individual instruction, recognizing that students learn at different rates and in different ways. K-5 students participate in physical education classes each day. Fitness, wellness, a sense of fair play, and a healthy attitude about competition are emphasized in a fun and rewarding atmosphere.
Students participate weekly in visual arts and music instruction, allowing them to see their world, and their creativity, through the framework of the creativity with which God created their world and created them.
