Continuous Improvement Plan

Throughout the Academy's 26-year history, there has been ongoing analysis of progress toward improvement goals, annual updates of improvement plans, and leadership focus on educational initiatives. This past year’s particularly rigorous process of self-study was launched to fulfill accreditation requirements; however, the Academy took this opportunity to dig more deeply into the various aspects of the school to accurately assess the effectiveness of its policies and programs. Members of the CPA community have a prevailing desire to continue this process of self-study, to make effective plans toward improvement, and to do the work necessary to continually improve the school

The self-study process, culminating in a visit by our Quality Assurance Review (QAR) team in April 2011, began in the fall of 2010. Nine teams made up of administrators, teachers, parents and board members met regularly to assess and document the Academy’s progress and current practices in nine specific areas. From that work—along with input from parent, faculty, staff, community and student surveys—a plan for continuous improvement was developed.
